Networking

You may have heard people say that networking is the most effective way to find a new position. All the research indicates that this is true. And it makes sense ­ employers prefer to hire known commodities if possible because it¹s much less risky and it saves on recruiter¹s fees.

Yet many job seekers shy away from networking. If you are one of these people, there are a number of possible reasons for your reaction:
