fellow members? Want to use your
talents and experience in a creative
way for your Atlanta Chapter? Or to
expand your knowledge in a specific

has just what you are looking for.

AALA
offers a wide variety of committees
and sections which offer leadership
and educational opportunities for your
personal and professional growth.
We’re looking for a few good leaders
to lead or volunteer for these
committees and/or to chair a section.

cards for the Action’s On You!
game; if you serve on a committee, you

For 2008, we’ve
updated our member activation game.
This year, The Action is on You!
In poker terms, this means it’s the
players turn to act. In
AALA
terms, it means
it’s your turn to act. Take action by
educating yourself, getting to know
your peers and making a difference in
others’ lives. We’ll give you all the
tools you need; all you have to do is
Take Action!
To sweeten the
pot,
AALA
will award you with playing cards
every time you Take Action.
Attend meetings, get cards; recruit
members, get cards; volunteer for a
committee or section, get cards. So,
get active this year, collect your
cards and bring them to the Holiday
Luncheon in December. The winner with
the best 7 card stud hand will win a
$2000 scholarship to ALA’s 2008
Educational Conference in
New Orleans.
